# Adding Reaction to Comment-Type Posts Not Working

Hello, our team is having issues reacting to comment-type posts.

1. First, we our attempting to use the CommentTray component as the frontend component: [Comment Tray Component | social.plus docs](https://docs.social.plus/social-plus-uikit/uikit-4/social/comment-and-reaction/comment-tray-component) (since renamed the AmityStoryTabComponent).
2. Posting a comment is successful:
  1. We POST to `/api/v3/comments`
  2. Request:
    1.

    2. In the response object, the `comment` does have ` "referenceType": "content",`, and the id/commentId is set to :

  3. Reacting to the comment is NOT successful:
    1. POST `/api/v2/reactions`
    2. Request:
      1.

```

      2. Note the `referenceId` above matches the id of the posted comment

    3. Response:
      1.

    4. According to the API documentation, this is the correct structure for the request object to that endpoint: [Social+ API Reference](https://api.docs.social.plus/#tag/reaction/post/api/v2/reactions)
      1. NOTE: These API requests are constructed by the UIKit, we are not building it directly

Overall, it looks like the API is NOT accepting reactions on posts that have a `referenceType` of `comment` - but there is no obvious reason why that is the case.
